The problem with this is that many people feel as though Mayor Bloomberg is taking away their rights. He is basically telling people that they cannot drink whatever size sugary drink that they would like. On the other hand he is trying to enforce the teachings of a better lifestyle for all Americans but is this really is job? People want to be able to go wherever they want and be able to drink and eat whatever they want. Is Bloomberg overstepping his place.
Another thought is that what else is he going to do next? People are beginning to call him "The Nanny" because he is acting as though all Americans are children. He is "enforcing" us to learn about our health, when nobody really wants his opinion. What other ridiculous request is he going to ask for in order to keep us in check?
Obesity is in fact a nationwide problem but does he really think by banning large sugary drinks that obesity will be cured forever?
How come no one has much to say about the fact that corporations are are in our face every waking minute? Is that okay? I think Bloomberg is on to something here. If people can't control themselves, perhaps the government needs to impose some restrictions. Think about it.
